Byron Bay loading zones

Council is seeking feedback about proposed loading zones in Byron Bay Central Business District (CBD), so that we can plan traffic and transport infrastructure with local businesses in mind. We are also interested in comments from businesses about the existing loading zones, to ensure parking is managed effectively.

There are not enough loading zones across the Byron CBD, which adds to parking concerns. With changes occurring to Bay Lane the concerns about loading zones are expected to increase.

To help address this, we are proposing to introduce approximately 6 new loading zones across the CBD. Some permanent and some will operate between 5am to 9am.

Have your say

We would like to hear from businesses that operate within the Byron Bay CBD. We are also interested in any feedback from businesses that service Byron CBD such as food or goods delivery services. Follow these steps to provide feedback:

Step 1: View the maps to see the location of the proposed and existing loading zones:

Step 2: Complete the Survey

All feedback will be considered and used to inform the final CBD wide loading zone layout. This final layout will also take into account on site constraints. We'll provide an update to this page once complete.

We aim to implement the changes to loading zones from November 2020.
