Gaggin Park Playground, Suffolk Park

Consultation has concluded

A big thank you to everyone who participated in Council’s recent survey on three options for the design of a new playground in Gaggin Park. The results are in and the community was most strongly in favour of the Fire Station themed playground!

Other feedback included a desire for the use of natural materials and this will be incorporated into the final design. The playground equipment will be constructed from timber and will be enhanced with the use of natural rock and recycled timbers.

In addition, the playground soft fall will be natural bark, and the edging will be rock

In addition, the playground soft fall will be natural bark, and the edging will be rock and recycled timber. Recycled timbers will also be used for seating adjacent to the playground for parents and teachers.

Community suggestions also led to some minor modifications to the design, such as the slide being changed to a more traditional design.

Works to install this exciting new playground in Suffolk Park are set to commence in May.
