What is the purpose of the Masterplan?

Linda Vidler Park at Suffolk Park is a much-loved community asset. The 4.5 hectare site is the largest recreation area in the neighbourhood.

The Masterplan provides a clear picture of what the park will look like in the future and we can use it to get access to grant funding for new facilities, or to refurbish existing facilities such as the skatepark.

Some of the existing facilities are:

  • football field
  • skatepark
  • pump track
  • tennis and basketball courts
  • bocce green
  • community garden
  • playgrounds

The Draft Masterplan also provides for:

  • shelters, seating, water fountains
  • potential extension of football clubhouse facilities
  • exercise station
  • nature play area
  • area for indigenous food planting
  • potential use for community events such as markets
